About Journal

The Ghana Weekly Epidemiological Report (GWER) is an official publication of the Ghana Health Service and the Ministry of Health. It seeks to promote the work of Ghana Health Service and the Veterinary Services. It publishes reports of public health interest and importance to the GHS and VHS constituents thereby informing its readership of the developments in the health sector in Ghana. It publishes scholarly work from the Districts, Research Institutions as well as fieldwork by Residents, Medical and Nursing students. It serves as a avenue for fledging authors to publish  their work and increase their ability to create publishable reports. GWER is a  forum for the discussion of matters relevant to the field of Public Health. It is the  voice of the Ministry of Health and the Ghana Health service, which promotes the  dissemination of scientific material and Public Health capacity building
